Memories from my past life – when I lived in Moscow, and thought that I want to be a photographer. Tattoo conventions were a part of my regular life, where I worked as a piercing master, and made photo project “Vagabond”.Every month we shot a new set with tattooed male models. It was a kind of Suicide Girls idea, but with guys. We worked with talented photographers (Anna Ulianova, Sergey Shelukhin, Max ‘Tapok’ Lozovik, etc.) and really awesome models (Roo, Pasha Small, Roma Cadillac, etc.). For example – one photo from set with Roo. So, tattoo was a part of my life, but I lived without “pictures” on my skin (Why? I don’t know). And I helped to my lovely friend- Magda with her photo project Matreshka Girls.
It was the second tattoo convention in Israel. After convention in 2013 I was ready for anything (small club, terrible show or stoned masters), but convention organizers have done a good job, really good job. I hope, in 2015 they bring artists from Russia or Ukraine (Ien Levin, for example). Unfortunately, Israel lags behind other countries with new trends or outlook on life. While in Israel artists smoking cannabis and drinking beer, artists from Europe and America drinking water and promoting straight edge. I hope, in 2015 this culture will be popular in Israel, too.
