Sacrifice – is commonly known as the practice of offering food or the lives of animals or people to the gods as an act of propitiation or worship. The term is also used metaphorically to describe selfless good deeds for others.
Project “Sacrifice” is a series of portraits of young people which gave up their houses, to find themselves in Israel. They understand that they’re not going to become presidents or well-known actors. These people want better life for their future children.
I started this project when I was 23, and it was my final project in Masa Education Program (Beer-Sheva, Israel). Unfortunately, my photos weren’t published at the final exhibition, as I didn’t finish the project… I hope to continue this series with more new photos.
